#fiesta ware

Back to cool (46°F) air and intermittent light rain. I’m so over this depressing weather. It is a perfect night to have another fire in the fireplace, no matter how much my dogs hate it. It would also be a good night to go to avbrewery and drink dark beer, with or without dogs. I hope some neighbors want to go too.

Despite the chill in the air, I decided to make fried rice on my Blackstone griddle on the patio. I’m such a pessimist each spring, getting things out that have been stored over winter. The griddle hadn’t been used in five months. As I uncovered it I fully expected to find dead rodents and a complete covering of rust. Oh, and the propane tank will explode when I touch it.

However, just like the motorcycles earlier, everything was fine after hibernating all winter. The motorcycles started up on the first press of the starter buttons. The griddle was clean and rust free. It too fired up immediately while the propane tank remained intact.

My fried rice turned out well. I cooked it long enough so it got a tiny bit crunchy. Perfect! I want to bring some to my dad, but I need to stop eating it so there’s some left for him.
