HOOKED ON A FEEEEELIN’

All I can really say is THANK YOU to my 100+ followers for showing an interest in this blog.  It’s been one week exactly since I started writing for Rocket, and it’s always daunting to enter a fandom you’ve admired from the outskirts for years but never been a part of.  Thank you to everyone for being so welcoming.

“I clearly can’t live without you, sister.” The sarcasm, the bitterness was there, but there was also relief. Nebula had missed Gamora. Not only during those lonely five years, but since the final battle. With a groan, she pushed herself to sit up, gaze immediately going to the place her sister’s attacker had been. He had actually retreated, surprisingly. She had known a long time ago that she would do anything to save her sister, even if it meant sacrificing herself. Luckily, this was nothing. Just a bit of pain;; nothing she couldn’t handle. ...probably.

A large hand comes down, impossibly gentle, patting her head before falling away; his smile rare as a flower in a frozen winter. The girl had only been with them a few years, and already, she excelled as the others could only imagine.

"GAMORA--" Her name rings out, bouncing off stone as he made the half turn to address the rest of his children. Those who had FAILED, this time; smile gone and replaced with the look of a disappointed father. "Has outstripped you all, again. And so, she will choose which of you PROVE YOUR WORTH in the cold dark of space."

He’d seen her with Ronan while he was still alive, back when he was actively searching for the infinity stones, or rather, the power stone. Back then Yon-Rogg was told that the search for the power stone was to give it to Thanos, though apparently, the truth was a bit different.
