Despite being a rescue and rehabilition section of the Guild, I find having moments to myself to study the local fauna in the field with a guilie mantle is the best method of becoming accostumed to how wyverns and elder dragons act without the interactions of man and specifically hunters.
While many see Elder Dragons as being a threat to local ecology, I would argue that they have as much right as anyone else to exist and that their existance is required to avoid stagnation and subsequent degradation of the land. As a result - I have not reported where this family of ‘Stra are living and no amount of threats nor intimidation will have me disclose their location. They are to be left alone to preserve the species and monitored in order to learn more of their behavior and living requirements. I am sure that the Guild will agree that risking the lives of Hunters to hunt a family of Elder Dragons that seems to be perfectly content living out their lives in the wilderness and keeping the number of Aptonoth in reasonable margins is a waste of time.

Day 23: Desert Cities. We didn’t see much chance of getting through the mountains with the lack of supplies and relatively light clothing, not to mention the ominous encounter with disembodied corpse-parts from the previous night casting a pall over the idea of more towers, so we headed west, past the foothills, toward a large arid plain. The highlands turned quickly into rolling hills, those swiftly drifted into dunes, and in the distance, clusters, pyramids arose from the horizon. Spires extended from their slopes and, from one, twinkling lights shone like distant stars from the tips of virtually invisible antennae. After another few days hike, what first appeared as a shadowy cloud revealed itself as a hulking ship. The haze we assumed to be a dust storm was a cyclone of sand and debris consumed by a vast circular orifice. The pyramid in the distance was smoldering rubble. These desert cities were were being harvested.
