The Usurpation War

In the beginning, monsters and the undead rose to besiege humanity, spurred on by a fallen creator deity.

Centuries ago, the Endermen began their incursion from another dimension, under the command of a dark dragon.

Decades ago, the sinister Illagers revealed themselves, launching raids from their hidden fortresses.

Today, a new threat emerges. Invaders from the Far Lands, calling themselves the Usurpation Army, seek to conquer the Overworld with mysterious artifacts granting their wielders power over nature. As the conflict escalates to all-out war, people from all walks of life are drawn in. How will the intertwined fates of a ragtag band of Overworlders and a determined Usurpation team affect the outcome?

This fantasy adventure story takes place in an original Minecraft setting, in the far north of the Overworld where a vast array of characters are swept up in an invasion by the enigmatic Usurpation Army. Follow an ensemble cast from all sides of the conflict as allies and enemies are found, mysteries are uncovered, and history is made.

The Usurpation War is available on FanFiction as a compiled work, and on Archive of Our Own where each book in the story will be posted separately. The Ao3 series also includes the Compendium, a supplemental work that includes a world map, the many images I’ve featured and commissioned on this blog, and additional bits of lore for those curious.
