Today I performed the VO2 Max test with USA Triathlon Coach Chris. The test provided information in regards to which heart rate zones the body exemplifies fat burn and cardiovascular performance. As many of you know, I do not often perform intended cardio due to my health incident last year, but the intensity of which I perform weight training enabled me to score a "superior" rating of 42 milliliters per minute. In other words, this is the amount of oxygen my body is effectively using before I hit my maximum threshold during exercise. This test even provides insight into your diet, which can affect the rate your body burns fat. Between the VO2 Max and Resting Metabolic Rate test, I now know my caloric intake to properly fuel my workouts as well as the intensity I need to achieve during exercise to burn fat and increase cardiovascular performance. If you have not signed up for one or both of these tests during the Metabolic Road Show this week, 7/25-7/30, at #ffchalsted, you are missing out on VALUABLE information that will benefit your workouts, your body, and your health!
