Like with long and thick hair in real life the hair entities that reside on Gingerbread’s and Rice’s head tend to shed. A lot. Sometimes they don’t even have to brush it, they’ll just be minding their own business and then boom, there’s a long strand of hair in their food.
Also, they do have their own hair underneath the entities, both are short and brunette with Rice’s being slightly darker and Ginger’s being having a similar color distribution like dirty blonde hair.
With as much hair that they have, a simple bounce is enough to make a small pile on the floor. No brushing, no touching, it just falls off. This is why they aren’t allowed to work in the restaurant anymore.
Gingerbread’s hair is only alive because her UR magic was so much that it can bring things to life.
