Browsing through the sights and sounds of Paris, we decided to take a walk to Cathédrale Notre-Dame after the fire incident. Unfortunately for us, the Cathédrale was closed to the public. But as luck will have it, there was more to see in the neck of the woods. We literally walked into the Bread Festival (Fête du Pain)  at the Place Louis Lépine which is only a stone throw away from Notre Dame.  The venue had 6 recreated tents turned into a bakery  with  hundreds  of bakers teaching visitors about bread making, pastries and sweet treats. Fortunately, I had my camera with me and took these mouth-watering goodies of some of the pastries and bread on display. Unfortunately, I could not stay for the winner of the competition to be announced. As luck continued to shine on us, this event is completely free and  perfect for families and tourists visiting Paris to attend. The purpose I learned, is to learn the art of professional baking standards.
