Panel 1: Sandytoes passed away in the night. Lynx determines that the cause of death was old age; it was simply her time.

Panel 2: Ferneyes is passing by the nursery when Sandwhistle spots him from inside, dragging him in to play with Loudkit with her. Ferneyes, being put on the spot, agrees, and ends up having a weirdly good time.

(Thundertwirl is Froststar's other father, who died when she was around young warrior age, and as a reminder Thornswipe is Ferneyes and Graymoon's mother)

Ferneyes is a quiet girl who likes to be alone. She mostly keeps her head down at the moment, staying as neutral and invisible as she can so as not to be noticed by Rainfall. She is actually one of Piketail's closest friends. She is asexual, the aunt of Falcon and Talon, sister to Skyfeather, and her job is Mentor. She is currently training Lily. Getting along with Lily is a struggle as they are exact opposites, but Ferneyes does her best.
