𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐖𝐄𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐘, 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 hard to do if you paid attention close enough. which enid did because, since the start, she wanted to be friends with the other despite her efforts to put distance between them. despite their differences. it had worked out, hadn't it ? enid had discovered someone who understands her, who cares about her in wednesday's own way & the mere idea of not being friends with the other just did not feel right. it's why enid is so atuned to being able to spot when the raven was doing something that she did not want enid to know about---she would get more secretive, reluctant to share details. she would spend more time away from evermore, not in the dorm. what could it be ? ❛ what're you working on, wednesday ? & don't tell me nothing ! ❜ injects the werewolf with arms crossed over her chest. ❛ all week you've been, like, totally dodgey with me. i don't appreciate it. ❜ to this she frowns though her tone does not show intense upset.

𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐃, 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐄𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐎. yes, basically kidnapping her in order to bring her to this retreat could have been done better but what was done couldn't be taken back. what could she do now ? try to help her friend, someone she loved, in a way she had never accepted after they were rescued ... why was she so resistant to what lottie was trying to do ? maybe because it inspired some sense of weakness, maybe because natalie was just as stubborn as ever. ( it was her stubborn nature that allowed them to survive. her leadership, her risk of getting the radio to call for help, were all character traits that helped them. though lottie wondered: did she forget about those traits or was she simply ignoring them in favor of numbing some other way ? ) the tone taken as lottie reached her hand before lowering it so it did not make contact with the others skin just yet. shoulders drop like her expression.

( it was rhaenyra she loved, rhaenyra she intended to spend the rest of her days with. daemon was nothing more than a formality, nothing more than a means to an end. what makes him believe he deserves praise for such a thing ? it was his ego alicent was willing to bet--a trait she always could not stand about him among other things. ) head turns toward him, brown eyes cutting over to see the smirk pressing to his mouth. a sigh is shoved out of her nose, body turning to walk toward him with measured step.

𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐃, 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐓 apology or speech filled with her adoration, respect, love for him. if he did then cole was more delusional than alicent believed him to be---he had always been devoted to her, yes, & for a time she respected that until it molded into something else. until he began disregarding her wishes, her boundaries for his own wants. he had crossed a line sitting in wait for her, expecting her to give him whatever he wished just because they had been together twice before. ( it reminded her, in a way, of viserys yet criston cole was worse. or so it felt. with viserys it felt more like a duty, something to simply get over whereas her so called 'protector' felt himself entitled to access to her. ) it is why alicent holds an expression of slight bewilderment on her face, eyes widened were eyebrows crease. lips are downturned & she holds a scoff in her chest.

𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐘 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐓 to her. so many times people have wished to blame the way they are, their behavior, on outside circumstances when really they should be looking more inward. alicent is no exception yet she knows, like herself, that they do not care to look inward because of what they might see or realize about themselves. people are often selfish, they want to look out for themselves or the cause they take up before anything else--criston cole has never been anything but that nor has he been better than. ( he wishes to cloak himself in some thin, fragile sense of 'honor' he might have once possessed in the beginning but it is no where to be seen now. he had grown reckless, sometimes self serving before doing his duty. he pushes her limits, he butts in when it is not his place. what kind of man does that ? one who is self absorbed, thinks boundaries nor code do not apply. )
