fin-︰the attraction to those who are feminine in nature (FIN), either in their gender and/or their presentation.

femsexual︰an individual who is exclusively attracted to individuals with feminine genders or feminine gender presentations regardless of gender identity.

Minromantic is the exclusive romantic attraction to those who are masculine in nature (MIN), in their gender and/or their gender presentation. This means Minromantic individuals are attracted to men, masculine aligned and/or presenting non-binary individuals, and potentially masculine women. Minromantic is not synonymous with the attraction to men, as it is the attraction to masculinity.

Gardsexual is the attraction to feminine, androgynous and gender neutral people regardless of their gender identity. It is the attraction to feminine presentation, androgynous presentation, and neutral/null presentation.

Jasmsexual is the attraction to feminine, masculine and gender neutral people regardless of their gender identity. It is the attraction to feminine presentation, masculine presentation, and neutral/null presentation.

These two flags are examples of the very many flag designs for femsexuality. “What does femsexual mean?” you may ask. Femsexual is a micro label under the Pansexual umbrella. It refers to the attraction to feminine expression of gender, regardless of that person’s gender identity.

A bit of background:

It’s only been for these past two years that I’ve known I’m not straight. I was raised in an incredibly homophobic family and was taught by my uncles to be homophobic as early as the age of six or seven years old. It took me a long time to open up to even accepting homosexuality. It was in seventh or eighth grade that my best friend came out to me as gay.

This moment triggered a major evaluation of myself. What kind of friend would I be if I stopped being friends with someone just for being gay? Right, I wouldn’t be a friend at all. Even then it took me many years to accept the LGBTQ+ community. My Christian upbringing and the deep homophobia closely linked to it wouldn’t allow that. Too much of the “Love the sinner, hate the sin” doctrine.

In time I began to genuinely accept people as they are, though. That said, when you open up, you realize your scope is too small and there is so much more to learn. I’m still learning!

Anyway, at one time there was an issue brought to my attention: Should a straight man be willing to date trans women? If a man were to turn down a trans woman, would that mean he doesn’t see her as a woman?

I have no interest in choosing for others. Of course to me trans women are women, but I think it’s ok to have a preference for cis women. But still, I started soul searching. I realized that if I were a single man, I would be ok with being with a trans woman. I began to feel like, for me, it wouldn’t be fair to refuse to give a woman a chance just because she may have a penis. I did even more soul searching and realized that if a penis is no longer a barrier, should I continue to exclude men from the possibilities as well?

Due to this, I came to the realization that a person can be any gender so long as I find them attractive. At that time I had chosen the label of pansexual for myself. It seemed most fitting. As I’ve done more searching, I’ve realized I’m not really attracted to more masculine presentations.

I then searched “Femmesexual” on Google and realized it was a real label! I felt understood and like what I had been feeling finally had a more accurate name. The only issue is that there were so many flag designs! The umbrella terms have fairly well agreed upon Pride flags, but it seems micro labels are still being developed.

I shared two of the many Femsexual flag designs. The first one with the many hands of pink is my favorite one! That said, it’s quite complex to recreate due to the sheer number of bands. As much as I loved it, I felt it needed simplification. I would like to present my own simple design. I included pinks, white, and a lavender color to represent feminine gender expression across genders. I hope that it may be of use for someone :)

Neptunic: An individual who is attracted to females/ feminity and non-binarys but not males/ masculinity.

Trixensexual: An individual who is only attracted to females and non-binarys.

Agitic:  A female or female aligned person who likes females and non-binarys and prioritizes this attraction over others they may have.

Femmesexual/Venusexual:  An individual who is attracted to women, feminity, and androgonus non-binarys.

Uranic: An individual who is attracted to males/ masculinity and non-binarys but never females/ female aligned non-binarys.

Mascusexual:  An individual who is attracted to men, masculine people, and androgonus non-binarys.

Androsexual:  An individual who is attracted to males or masculinity.

Heteroflexible:  An individual who normally experiences attraction to the opposite gender but occasionally experiences attraction to the same gender.

Homoflexible:  An individual who is normally attracted to the same gender but is occasionally attracted to the opposite gender.

Polysexual: An individual who is attracted to many but not all genders.

Spectrasexual:  An individual who is attracted to multiple but not all genders and gender plays a part in attraction.

Penultisexuality:  An individual who is attracted to any gender but their own.

Omnisexual: An individual who is attracted to all genders but gender is taking into account.

Pansexual: An individual who is attracted to all genders and gender is not a factor in attraction.

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about Bisexuality from @on-fic-writing-spree lately and would like to explain Bisexuality and other identites that include multi gender attraction so people can find labels that might fit them better.
