This young lady is turning 18 years old! 😾 This makes Naia the oldest living black-footed cat in the U.S. population, and possibly the oldest in the world! She is, however, shy of being the oldest recorded BFC by 6 months. So here is to good health Naia!

Sand Cat Felis margarita
It is found in disjunct locations across North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. It makes loud, high-pitched and short rasping sounds, especially when seeking a mate. Its vocalizations are similar to those of the domestic cat. It communicates by urine spraying and using scent and scratch marks. It buries its feces and covers it with sand.
