When I was younger, I wanted to keep my hair long because I thought it’ll make me seem more feminine. My boyish walk and wardrobe somehow bothered people close to me, including my family. But a few years ago, I decided to get a bob cut and donate it. When I found out last month that I have cancer, I knew I was going to lose all my hair eventually because of chemo. So today, @jegegoy and I went to a barbershop and got our heads buzzed! I’m glad that he’s very supportive of me getting this haircut before treatment starts tomorrow. I thought I was going to cry, but no! I was giggling the whole time because my scalp felt cold! I feel lighter. And free. I’ve finally made my peace with the fact that I won’t get to see my hair grow until after chemo. So here I am, embracing the boyish look that I always had.
