Some power within decided long before I left the house that I’d walk trough the woods with feet only. . Feet, free from shoes on stones of different seizes, cry. . First 10 minutes my brain found 1 million escapes. But the power within was prepared and went trough with the chosen path. . The strong feelings went from feet to brain and gave me frustration and rejection. So I stoped walking. . As I continued this was my mental play-pray: This is the path. Breathe deeply. Go step by step. Look forward to be on the soft gras. Engage your whole foot and body. Never loose engagement while on the chosen path. Take the head back. Let the heart lead. Breathe into the back of the body. Trust the earth. Trust your feet. Relax into the path, this will give you more space to overview the bigger picture. The path can be bumpy and soft. You can choose sometimes on wich surface you will walk. And sometimes you can choose your attitude towards the surface. But here is the thing that helped me the most: acknowledge loudly when it hurts! Sing! Plus: dive into joy when softness is given.
