I have absolutely no words to express my never ending love and gratitude for my my Momma. She pushed me non-stop, literally wouldn’t let it go, and really the only reason I was able to graduate. Me finishing my degree program would not have been possible without these beautiful women. When my mother was diagnosed with metastatic cancer I was planning to withdraw from school so I could have more time with her. My mother insisted that I didn’t, and to appease her I stayed enrolled but wasn’t planning to really apply myself. Still working full time and taking care of her was so much work, but had it not been for my aunts it wouldn’t have been possible. My Aunt Beckie and Aunt Caroline put their lives on hold and left their families to help me help my Momma. They stayed with her, helped cook, clean and take her to and from appointments so I could continue to work and go to school. School was a welcomed distraction and during that time my grades had never been better. That first year I had made honor roll and the presidents list, even received a signed letter by President @barackobama for my accomplishments. Aunt Beckie and Aunt Caroline, thank you for your support and allowing me to stay in school throughout my Momma’s battle with cancer. It was because of your generosity and sacrifice that not only saved her, but allowed me to graduate.
