There's a stereotype that all adult Tumblr users only engage with children's media, but I don't actually know anyone on here for whom that's true, so I wanted to see if there was some merit to the stereotype or if it was completely invented.

"The timeline's vague but that first stanza sounds to me like I've been rereading Didion's Democracy, whose elliptical approach to narrative is something of a lodestar to me. It's not clear whether the birds in the opening stanza are just flying away or if they've died, though they do come back in the next verse, in who knows what state of being."
