so feathershawl is a nonbinary moonshadow elf whose said shawl can help them do cool moon magic things and has some shady tendencies. and loki from norse mythology is also largely read as nonbinary (genderfluid) literally going between genders, and also has some shady qualities, and also has a feathershawl.

Angsty new headcanon: Ethari made Feathershawl’s remembrance crystal, with the little images of their many many family members, once he knew they were going to get ghosted at the next new moon. He gave it to them just in time so they could carry it with them when they had to leave the Silvergrove.
Because Ethari is, distantly, one of Feathershawl’s family members.
Considering where he’s at with assisting Rayla and privately breaking the ghosting but not openly challenging it, it seems very him to also not challenge Feathershawl’s ghosting, but to give them a pretty jewel that has family feels wrapped up in it so that when they go, they know he still cares about them deep in his heart.
