Probably the most unexpected delight at this morning's @feastportland fun-sized event, Because Breakfast, was this glass of bubble tea. I've been drinking bubble tea since the 90s and my love for it has never waned. This is from @teabar - iced vanilla rose tea (brewed then reduced with sugar into a syrup and then reconstituted) with tapioca balls (boba) they cook themselves. The boba had a perfect texture and the tea was a knockout - it was strong but not overwhelming or bitter, with a wonderful light floral background note from the rose petal in the tea blend. The whole thing was a joy to drink.
