It was a low-key Thanksgiving, so low key that I didn't even take pictures of the food! Good thing our friend @mountain_joy_mojo decided to document. The grass fed, Plainfield Organic Turkey was marinated overnight in Olive Oil, Sea Salt, and Basil, and it roasted beautifully. The breast was moist, tasty, and tender as was the dark meat. While I could not partake of my signature kitchen sink Stuffing, I still made it. The new centerpiece side was a vegetable Mash of Yuca Root and Daikon Radishes, whipped with garlic, butter, and sour cream. Accompanied by Roasted Beets, Sweet Purple Yams, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts to round out the feast, we ate well and enjoyed every bite! Before dinner we knoshed on some Black Caviar that I founnd on sale, along with kettle corn, Cheddar and Monterey Jack Cheeses, and Babaghanoush with an assortment of gluten-free crackers. While I was less than happy at my first attempt at a pie crust using Cassava Flour, the Sweet Potato Pie was still delicious, especially topped with a dollop or two of whipped cream. Thankful for good friends, good food, and a warm home to host them in. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and that you are enjoying a day of rest, along with those tasty leftovers. #Foodie #ieatthereforeiam #thanksgiving #Thanksgiving2022 #feastagram #latergram #muchlatergram #instacollage #goodfriendsgoodtimes #goodfoodgoodfriends https://www.instagram.com/p/ClaQkk4LpFw/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
