ricken had always had a bit of a complex about his height and had struggled to befriend the other shepherds due to it

that was until you came along, treating him just like everyone else, despite his looks

at first, that was a good thing!

ricken felt so normal with you. he felt comfortable. he felt like he found someone who saw him for himself and not the way he looked.

it didn't taken long for him to fall in love with you, but as his feelings for you grew, the thing he used to like most about your relationship with him started to become painful

you were treating him like everyone else. because he was like everyone else. he was just a friend to you. 

not just that, but your heart already belonged to someone else…

ricken hadn't noticed it right away, but the more attention he paid to you, the more he seemed to notice that you were spending time with a particular guy

and when he asked you about it, hoping you'd deny it, you only confirmed his fears: you really were dating someone. 

to ricken, you had been the most important person in the shepherds. you were all he had
