not because he's ashamed of you, but because he doesn't want you to become a target because of him

but when the two of you are alone, matthew tries to make up for the time lost and he's clinging to you, always having his hands on you and pressing kisses onto your face

since he likes to be a tease, you too tease him in those moments, about what a softie he secretly is

but matthew can't help but grow soft around you, since he loves you so much!
