This isn't really something most people would understand because most people don't experience this, but there's a really pervasive way how a diagnosis becomes your one character trait

While it is a part of your life, it's still only one part. There's still the rest of you, but sometimes people don't see that

You can live life, enjoy hobbies, work hard for a goal like everyone else, but then deal with people boiling your entire character down to one thing. Almost like they can't fathom that you might actually have something else in your life that exists outside of the illness

I do see people refer to Alfred's choice to avoid talking about it as him being in denial, but it's more like defiance. He says it himself. He refuses to be seen as a weak prince and wants to be remembered for being happy, dependable, and strong

He's probably used to people viewing this one part of his life as his entire life and wants people to care more about seeing the rest of it

FE Engage Alfred comics. Spoilers if you haven't gotten his A supports with Celine!

Some of the holders are based on the bosses of the Fell Xenologue, while others are based on my personal preferences. Here’s my reasons for each pairing.

Tiki:

Veyle — They’re both kindhearted royal dragon girls with a brother-sister relationship with the protagonists Alear and Marth.

F!Alear — Since the Alear of the main Elyos is associated with Marth, I figured I’d draw the Alear of the other Elyos in Adult Tiki’s pose for consistency.

Hector:

Madeline — They’re both blue-armored axe fighters. Also, Hector is called “The Brash General”, and Madeline’s default class is General.

Soren:

Gregory — While they’re different in terms of personalities, they are both sages specializing in wind magic.

Chrom:

Fogado — I know his evil variant is mainly paired with Tiki in the Fell Xenologue, but seeing that he and Chrom are both charismatic princes leading a volunteer militia, I figured I’d draw Fogado in Chrom’s engage form. Plus, Rafal is similar to Robin in a way in terms of having silver hair and being Fell Dragons (though Robin is more of a vessel for Grima, the Fell Dragon in Awakening).

Camilla:

Zelestia — Emblem Camilla provides the Bolt Axe and the Lightning tome, and Zelestia, like her counterpart, wields thunder magic. Also, they both have doting mother vibes.

Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude:

Nel — I used 3Hopes Ingrid’s pose from Heroes as reference to represent Dimitri since they both have blue motifs and wield lances.

Amber — I used him to represent Claude because Amber is one of the characters Claude has dialogue with in his bond supports.
