Here you guys can have some gay fluff before I traumatize them
Should I be titling these?
Sage laid her head over the edge of the table she was laying on. Fay was working on some spell at her desk, she had promised sage that they could go out when she finished but sage had been laying there for at least two hours.
“Are you almost done?”
Fay didn't look away from her journal, “yeah just uh- gimme a minute alright?”
“You've said that a million times! Come on you said we could go soon, “ Sage sat up and turned so she was criss-cross facing Fay again. Sage could see what Fay was writing about now, it was some type of plant she's never seen before.
Fay turned to sage and smiled warmly, “yeah, we can go now. Where was it you wanted to see?”
Sage stood up on the table excitedly, “yes, finally! I wanted to see that flower field, remember?”
“Yup, kinda hard to forget when you talked about it for like half an hour” Fay walked over to the table and extended her hand to help sage down from the table.
Sage took her hand and stepped down from the table.

The two were about half way to the field, Fay was talking about something she'd researched, sage didn't know what it was she had tuned her out a while ago.
It sounds bad but Fay can get be… a lot sometimes, so Sage pretends to listen but only really makes a mental note of the important details.
The sun was setting yet Fay kept stopping to look at different mushrooms and flowers, mildly annoying but Sage thought it was cute how she'd stop her original rant mid way to enthusiastically talk about whatever plant she'd seen before continuing her first rant.
She thought a lot of things about fay were cute–in a platonic way of course, they were nothing more than friends.
They had arrived at the flower field. The sun was setting casting an orange glow across everything, the sun flowers faced towards them they covered the field in bright yellow for miles.
The two admired the sight in silence.
Sage felt cold fingers slip between hers, she snapped her head towards Fay who was already staring at her. Fay looked like she'd seen something truly amazing; she gently placed her other hand on Sage's cheek.
“you alright?”
“I– you're… amazing, is all,” Fay's face flushed red.
Sage sighed, smiling softly and dropped down to sit, patting the ground beside her gesturing for Fay to sit too.
Fay sat and slowly the two drifted closer till Sage was laid down in front with her head in Fay's lap.
Fay ran her fingers through Sage's hair as they stared at the darkening sky.
lmk if you have any suggestions on stuff to add maybe? She feels a bit plain idk. No she's not getting shoes rn I'm TIRED of drawing shoes. She wears the shoe's in the second photo.

First lore drop:333 just a simple one on how Fay and sage met next one will be interesting I swear
And possibly posted really soon depending on my sleep schedule and motivation
Fay sat in the shade, her back resting against the tree behind her. Her eyes traced over every word but she wasn't quite reading, silently she was listening to the other fae's talk.
They all stand around and gossip and share secrets but none of it is really secret.
Everyone knows a fae can't keep a secret, they can't lie after all. All it would take is simply to ask every detail you need for the story.
But that's not why they can't keep a secret. They can't because they don't want to, They're untrustworthy.
Fay has learned this the hard way, She was naive and got hurt because of it – many times.
She stopped making friends after the 5th fae had left her–She stopped caring after the 3rd though– some would talk about her behind her back, calling her annoying, clingy, weird, mean.
Others simply stopped talking to her without a simple goodbye.
It's not like Fay didn't know she was weird or clingy or annoying–she learned that quickly–but nobody ever said anything till they had enough. No communication.
Fay has stopped trying to make friends, she doesn't care how lonely it is, as long as she's not hurt like that again.
Fay rolled her eyes and focussed back on her book but before she could even finish the paragraph a hand touched her shoulder.
“Why aren't you with the other fae?” The girl behind her said
Fay pushed the hand off her shoulder, “Because I don't want to.”
“Why not” she sat down next to Fay
“Because I don't like them,”– Fay closed her book– “Now will you leave me alone.”
“C'mon you gotta be lonely! I'm sage.”
“I'm Fay.” She looked at sage who smiled in response.
“So what kinda things do you like, Fay?”
Their conversation continued with meaningful and meaningless questions till the sun had set.
“ I Uhm– I should go…” fay said reluctantly
Sage looked at the setting sun and sighed softly “yeah you're right… how about we meet here tomorrow?”
“Sounds like a plan.”

Streams of warm sunlight shone through the gaps in the leaves as the two fae ran farther into the woods then they knew they should.
It didn't matter much really they've been doing this for years this time sage had just found a new spot and was taking Fay to see the view
“Where are we going?” Fay asked, struggling to keep up.
Sage turned her head, smiled and ran faster ahead till Fay could barely see her.
“Wait up!”

Fay skidded to a stop, “ Christ, sage, think you could slow down a bit next time?”
“Maybe you should speed up”–sage giggled–”you alright though? ” she reached a hand out to Fay, bent forwards with her hands on her knees.
“I'm fine.” Fay slapped her hand away from her and stood up straight
“Mhm you sure look ‘fine’ “ sage said. “serously though, You alright?”
“I'm fine. What was it that you wanted me to see?”
Sage gestured to the cliff behind her and Fay looked over
It had taken all afternoon to get here and God it was worth it.
The sky had turned shades of pink, orange and yellow from the setting sun, there was miles upon miles of spruce trees covering the ground, in the far distance there was a medium sized lake the scenery was wonderful and the two stared on at it for quite awhile
“Wow…” Fay mumbled without looking away from the astonishing sight
“I know, right.” Sage nudged Fay with her elbow
Fay's head snapped back to look at sage.
Sage dropped down to sit crisscross in the grass motioning for Fay to come sit next to her.
The fae sat together until the sky had gone dark and the only sound was their own breathe and the distant sound of crickets
“So,”–Fay started–”you…have any hobbies you're really passionate about?” she had just realized after all this time they've always talked about pointless things never really knowing the more mundane aspects of each other's personality
“Wow. Breaking the silence with a question about my hobbies?” Sage answered
“No I mean like– like something you love. The thing that makes you happiest” Fay turned her head
“Hm. Yeah, I guess so. I really like gardening”–she turned to face Fay– “what about you?”
“I've been practicing some more advanced magic to be honest”
“Huh, interesting. I've never been much good at magic to be honest with you“
“You could come watch me some time? I'm working on a new spell. It's… an interesting one” Fay was excited at the thought of showing her friend the spell she's been working on for years far before they met but this time she's close.
