Anyway it was about The Addams family being the most loving tv sitcom family, but that’s not the problem here, what was that they used examples of the usual traditional family where the dad works and mom stays at home raising the child and cooks dinner and they showed I Love Lucy there. Since when is Lucy Ricardo a stay at home mom when she’s constantly scheming of trying to get into showbiz, lack of singing voice be damned. If anything she’s a feminist icon, because she’s subverting the trope by trying to be more than just the wife. Big brained commenters also brought up The Munsters and I’m like… did y’all miss that Herman and Lily were constantly fighting?? They were not the loving couple people want to remember them as. The monster aesthetic does not make them The Addams family. Also by later seasons Herman was reduced very much to a bumbling child-like man rather than a husband to be honest.
