also re: my last post, there rlly should be more options for plus sized alternative butches in fashion. all alt clothes are either hyperfem, straight-sized, only go up to an L (XL if youre lucky), super expensive, or all of the above. like masc/androgynous people can be alt too?? hell, being a butch IS an alternative identity so how come all the fashion options we have are our grandfathers’ hand-me-downs???? i want more options!!

Why are we that skinny while wearing armour. How skinny are we without that armour on.
This character's inspired by the player character, but not if your character is supposed to be fat, or otherwise not stick thin. Out of universe this is the creator's fatmisia striking again. In universe I guess Felix is just fatmisic.
More stuff I have to deal with in my fic.
I find it so annoying when I'm looking for stuff about nutrition and stuff comes up about weight loss, as in resources that assume right off the bat that my goal is to lose weight.
Like, no? It isn't?
My goal is to have a balanced diet so that I don't feel like shit. I don't care about my weight that much, but this ain't even about that, it's the fact that losing weight is so often mentioned as a high priority in these resources when the priority should be not feeling like shit.
Sure, for some people (heavy emphasis on some) weight loss may come with feeling less physically terrible. However, that's not an excuse to prioritize weight loss in a resource that should be about not feeling like shit!
And I'm not even fat, so my annoyance about this is likely a drop in the bucket compared to how fat people feel when they see this stuff. It's like the world cares more about outward appearances than, I dunno... the horrible effects that can occur when you don't eat enough of certain kinds of food.
I’m really not liking the fatmisic/antifat comments in latest season of Vox Machina. It’s only come up a couple times but it very much was not necessary. People are already being inundated with ozempic/wegovy glp1, diet culture, white supremacist and fascist centric beauty norms. This is such a cool and comforting show, and I REALLY didn’t appreciate that at all.
If they cut out those fatmisic/antifat lines and scenes it would have been for the better and the absence of them would not be noticed or missed. This makes me worry about the new season of Delicious in Dungeon. There is a trend of shows I love that now slide in antifat/fatmisic jokes and it really taints them for me.
It forces me to either make a whole headcanon where those things were never said, or sometimes I even will drop the show. Like I did with Cells at work. This is part of the plight of being fat, even with something that’s supposed to be fun and you enjoy, even there you often enough can’t seem to escape hatred and bigotry.
I have other identities that are oppressed so I know this all too well from multiple angles. And when the bigotry and hate isn’t in the show, you can still get it from some or more of the fan base. It’s fucking awful. Antifatness should be no more acceptable than any other form of discrimination, prejudice and hatred. Sadly Vox Machina will be added to my list of media that contains antifatness.
I’m still trying to watch literally as I type this and honestly I need a break because it’s making me feel really shitty.
I had seen this post and I was wondering if you have the same opinion regarding people who ‘choose’* (take conscious action) to be underweight? Primarily through ozempic which is what I’m assuming OP was talking about in their post.
*I don’t know if a person has complete choice if they opt for a state of ill-health
