Day 8 of Drawing Wof Characters, Fatespeaker
Fatespeaker, aka the one that's hated for nothing. Seriously, she's less annoying during her entire run in the series then Sky (especially in book 15) she gets all the hate ? "She's just Sunny" okay, I guess Sundew is just Tsunami then, and thus we should hate Sundew ! Her being so sweet and joyful is actually downright sad, she's clearly hated by her "friends" in canon, but she still cares about them, they are happy to remplace them, but she is sad about Squid leaving and worried for his safety. And don't get me started on people who accuse her of consciously lying about her visions. No she isn't, she was told all her life that Nightwings have powers, of course she's gonna believe that every dream she has is a premonition ! So, anyway, in my Au her friends and the dod (except Sunny) are still annoyed with her peeps about visions and such, but it softens more and more after each book, she becomes JMA's Therapist as well as Councillor. I don't know if I want her to end up with Starflight or Sunny, might make that a poll.
there's something to me about the fact that one of the only times in the second arc when Starflight and Fatespeaker are apart is the scene where Starflight is nearly killed. and now i'm thinking about the fact that Fatespeaker--who Moon notes is always worried for Starflight--wasn't there. did Starflight tell her to take a break? did she decide she needed a moment? perhaps she was running an errand, or getting a drink of water, or talking to a friend, but she wasn't there. and it turned out to be right when starflight is attacked. she'd be so guilty over that. such angst potential.
