Happy Birthday, Loki ||Drabble
What do you get a man who is capable of getting anything that he wanted?
Sigyn and Loki have only been seeing each other for the past three months, and it had been some of the best months of her life. They spent nearly every single day together, and while they learned much about each other, there were still some things about him that Sigyn had been unsure about.
It took a little bit of investigating, and some favors owed by some people, but the blonde figured out the one important detail she wanted to figure out:
Lokiâs real birthday was several days before the one celebrated by the rest of Asgard. Although not particularly celebrated in Asgard himself, any reason to throw a party was highly anticipated for weeks on end. Sigyn wasnât much for large parties, and would probably persuade Loki to let her into the Palace Library before the feast was to begin where she could spend her time in solitude.
However, with her so-called scheming, Sigyn planned to spend time with Loki a few days before the celebration would begin, on Lokiâs actual birthday.Â
The day of, Sigyn greeted Loki the same as always, with a bright smile and a present from the market. He insists she neednât get him anything, but whenever she shops, she sees little things that remind her of him, or of things that he might like.
In her heart, Sigyn knew she was falling in love with the fire giant, and falling fast. She was falling hard.
Todayâs gift was a raw bloodstone crystal. It was emerald green and blood red,and when Sigyn had seen it, she had immediately thought of Lokiâs eyes. She told him as much, and Lokiâs responding grin made her feel all warm inside.
âYou know, I will have to shower you with gifts in exchange for all of the gifts you have brought me,â Loki said to her matter-of-factly. The blonde merely giggled in return, a blush covering her cheeks.
âYou can try,â Sigyn replied with  smile.Â
âAnd I will succeed,â he shot back with a smirk. âNow, what is on the docket for today, MâLady?â Blushing again, Sigyn got all shy and she averted her eyes. Mumbling something, Loki leaned in to hear her better. âWhat was that?â
Steeling her nerves, Sigyn lifted her head and looked Loki in the eye.Â
âI want to show you a Vanaheim sunset,â she stated. Loki stared at her for a few moments before sweeping into a bow.
âWhat my lady desires, she shall get,â he replied before taking her hand and kissing it. In the next moment, Loki pulled her to his chest and the world swirled around them. The next moment saw the two surrounded by a field of flowers, flowers Sigyn hasnât seen in a long time. Slowly detaching herself from Loki, but never letting go of his hand, Sigyn marveled at the scenery around them.
âThe beauty of Vanaheim will never cease to amaze me,â Sigyn whispered out as she turned to look at Loki. She startled at the intensity of his gaze on her.
âAll flowers of Vanaheim, no matter where they were raised, always bloom more brighter than any other,â Loki replied, his free hand coming up to tuck some stray strands of hair behind Sigynâs ear. A flush covered her cheeks at his words, and Loki grinned. âNow, what would you like to do until sunset?â he asked her, and it was Sigynâs turn to grin.
âI have some forests I would like to walk in, if you would be so kind to accompany me,â the blonde replied with a smile, pulling away slightly so she could give him a curtsy. âWould you do me the honors?â
âWhy of course,â Loki replied with a smile and a returning bow. Then, holding his hand out for hers, Loki pulled her close again, a small gasp leaving her lips. âNow, where to?â Her body melting against his, Sigyn had to grip his tunic in order to stay on her feet.
âWhy not let us walk there?â Sigyn suggested instead, trying to regain her voice. âIt would be great exercise for us, and it would be a great way for us to waste time til sunset!â
Persuaded, Loki nodded with a smile before releasing Sigyn, only to offer his arm to her. Taking the redheadâs hand instead, Sigyn started dragging him towards the forest, giggling in anticipation. âLet us go, Loki! Come, hurry!âÂ
Giving out a laugh, Loki let himself be dragged by the beautiful woman in front of him. The entire day was filled with their romping through the forest, finding beautiful flowers that somehow found their way into Sigynâs hair, and waiting until the sun hung low in the sky.
When the time was right, Sigyn led Loki to a hill she remembered playing on when she was but a young girl. When they were all settled on the top of the hill, Sigyn leaned against Loki and sighed happily, her vision set on the horizon as the sun began to set.
Streaks of reds, oranges, yellows, purples, and pinks splashed across the sky, and Sigyn kept her sight on the fading sun. Holding Loki close, the blonde had to sigh happily.Â
âLoki, happy birthday,â she said quietly, a smile on her face. His head snapped towards her, his gaze no longer captivated by the sky.
âYou know youâre early, right?â he asked her, holding his breath.
âNo I am not,â Sigyn replied. She turned to look at Loki, her eyes mischievous. âA little birdy told me that the celebrations for your birthday always happen after your actual birthday. And so, I thought that, for your actual birthday, we could do something together. Just us. I. . .I hope that is alright?â the blonde explained, suddenly feeling insecure in her decision.
Loki placed a kiss on her brow, and Sigyn blushed heavily. âThere is nothing more that I would have wanted to do today. Spending my birthday with you has been the best present ever.â
