So many students tell me that they love my patternmaking and draping classes because it takes away the fear ...the fight or flight freeze that comes over them when they think they are suddenly in the technical realm and can’t feel free, fun,curious,motivated,playful and expressive in fashion when they are working this way. Patternmaking, draping, and Sewing are also forms of play, forms of expression, forms of creativity! Somewhere along the line we get the impression that these realms are cold, sterile, and lifeless, or beyond our ability to comprehend. it just isn’t true! From flat sketches, to spec’s, two patterns… Don’t let this happen to you! If you love craft and creation, if you love the art of fashion design, Then this realm of skills is also your birthright! As your teacher and course Creator, or coach, my job is to take it down this icy wall so that you can immerse in the hot bath or fashion creativity LOL!… We’ll go from B ASICS to working out an original design of your own. #don’t worry, you don’t need a full studio to work at first, you can use quarter scale patterns that I will provide for you as a download to create all of your pattern practice! .
