guy who is prophesized to die in a very specific set of circumstances like idk "a red car is going to go by and then you'll hear trumpets and a horse is going to run by and someone is going to drop their wallet and it's going to start to rain and then you'll die" something that is both extremely specific, could realistically happen at any point and not exactly preventable. at first he brushes it off as something stupid but he grows more and more paranoid. sometimes one or two of the circumstances happen and he'll feel his heart rate go up. but it's a false alarm.
he becomes obsessed. and paranoid. he doesn't leave his house much. it's not worth the risk. he lives in fear.
and then one day it happens. he has to get groceries, he doesn't really have a choice. the first thing happens. then the next. then the next. he can see it all coming. he's never been more terrified in his life. the series of events just keep coming
and then. he gets so scared he gets a heart attack and dies.
