The Three Tomes. A Queer YA Coming of age Indie Animation Series about a black magical girl witch in the 2010s midwest. Tammy must fight monsters as a newly turned magical girl witch , capture spirits and deal with two vampire boys ( both bi/pan) who are after her heart. One her enemy and the other her ally. The Three Tomes is a story of black whimsy, magic and adventure...showcasing that we as black folks can be present in all kinds of stories... fantasy.. romance... stories that don't center black pain...and shutting down tropes like the disposable black girlfriend. It shows cases a cast of black and brown queer characters and that we can just.. be. Kickstarter for episode 2 is live as we push to our stretch goals for a fully animated opening theme, animated sequences and production of episode 3. Episode

I’m not saying you’re under obligation to support every little project on youtube, but it’s just that there are so many people who genuinely want to help small teams and independent creatives, but are neglecting projects that need love. It doesn’t have to be “mainstream indie” vs “lesser-known indie” btw— let’s really not make that divide, because indie should be a space for people to support each other and we do not need to tear each other apart. My point here is that we should be supporting ALL indie; the stuff with millions of views per episode and the pilot that only has a few thousand. And if you don’t have the money for that, your support doesn’t have to be through direct funding; on my part, I simply hope to bring more attention to these shows so more people will watch and appreciate them.

Ultimately, my point is that if you really want to support indie, do so before it’s trending.

I see a lot of people still confused about this, so here it is straight from the horses mouth!

Yes! These are cheeky little references to the indie cartoons Lackadaisy and Far Fretched, respectively.

Wack A Daisy should be a self-evident joke. Rocky and Freckles' colors are swapped for extra funnies (and copywrite skirting~)

Hell Puppy was the original title for Far Fetched, so we thought it would he funnier to use that instead of trying to wrack our brains trying to find an inverse of "farfetched" lol
