Is slice of life fantasy isekai a thing? Like the neurodivergent coded protagonist gets transported to a fantasy realm and they finally find a place to fit in because everyone else is as “weird” as they are, but they aren’t like a prophecized hero of legend or have any important powers or destiny, they’re just some guy? Like they basically land in Fantasy King of the Hill or a magical office sitcom?
They land in Fantasy Realm during peace times, so there’s no world to save, no warring country to defeat, they just live there now like everybody else. Sure they might find like a group of misfits who become their found family, but maybe they just work at Fantasy Wendy’s together or they’re just roommates who get along really well.
They get powers exactly one time from accidentally drinking a potion their witch friend left unlabeled in the fridge and after it wears off, they decide never to do that again. They body swap with their rival at work, but it’s some court mandated thing and they get their original bodies back after they both realize that there’s things that are hard about being a talking cat and things that hard about being a human.
The closest thing I can think of is Futurama and I would say that Fry still ends up being an Important Person™️
