Imagine going to your producers and being like 'Oh hey yeah‚ so I want to make a film based on these ancient roman texts which #Are incomplete and literally end mid sentence. All of the principle characters will be homosexual‚ and instead of trying to recreate #Ancient Rome‚ I've decided to set the whole thing in a sort of nightmare hellscape imagining of Rome as an alien planet. It's going to be #In multiple languages‚ one of which is Latin‚ and no I won't subtitle those scenes. Also I've decided to purposefully make the dubbing not #Match the actors mouth movements‚ just to furrher alienate the audience and contribute to the weird unsettling nature of this evil #Experiment that I'm bizarrely insisting is a mainstream film. Please finance me.' and some maniac shrugged and gave him a million dollars #Or whatever this cost (and it's so beautiful‚ it must have cost a fair bit). So yeah. What a crazy‚ messed up‚ unique horror show of a film #That absolutely shouldn't work (and I'm well aware won't‚ for many) but which i couldn't tear my eyes from and which has haunted my brain #Since the second i finished it. Incredible.
