#fanfic issue

y'all ever read a fic that's also so reminiscent of how you act/think now that it feels like the author is in your walls

most annoying thing (lighthearted) about being fictionkin is when I find a new source and I'm so excited to read all the awesome fanfic except everyone writes the characters Slightly Off from my kin memories. it's like I'm surrounded by delicious cake and allergic to all of it

being a fic author who sometimes posts in my source fandoms is really fun sometimes because i'll get comments like "wow i love how you write xyz character, theyre done so well" and i have to do the digital equivalent of smiling and nodding at 'em

Fix-it fics stress me out so bad. "What if nothing went wrong" but it did go wrong. This doesn't change the fact that it went wrong. Maybe you find comfort in it but I don't even want to bear the thought of a happier ending, because it's easier to accept the one we got if there was no chance of it.

Is it weird that I want to turn my memories into 'fanfiction'? Just to get my version of events out there.

having fictkin friends who don't share the same source as you reads as one of those insane crossover fics on ao3 sometimes and it's funny to think about. like ok yeah my best friend is shadow the hedgehog, my ex is elysia from rayman legends, and my brother is the gd cow from mario kart. sure. why the hell not.

I keep rereading fanfics i have saved and going "oh my gosh this dude gets it" (they are literally fics of my kin btw. that is me)
