Caption: Allison Argent is the textbook definition of a 'good girl'. She's top of her college class, gets the best grades she can and works a stable job at the local florists. Her life is simple and Allison hates it. Her parents have too large expectations of her, wanting her to follow their idea of a 'perfect' life. What she wants is adventure, freedom, the feeling of the wind in her hair as she travels down the winding roads of some new, exciting place she'll be able to explore. So, with the help of her scheming aunt and best friend, she drops out of college, quits her job and escapes the quiet town of beacon hills in an old camper van, all in the span of one night. She dyes her hair, gains a couple of tattoos along the way and finally has control over her own life.
And if she feels lonely in the slightly too empty van, well that's just the price to pay.

Isaac Lahey does not have a lot at all. In fact, it would be best to say he has almost nothing. Jobless and living off his friend Derek's charity, he's lost everything. With no family left (a dead mother, an abusive father in jail and a brother missing in action), all he has are his old friends and an old skateboard. He wastes his days riding around the too large city, almost always alone.
He meets Allison in Starbucks, her surprisingly blue shocking against the duller colours of the shop. She's sitting on the one table with a seat left and Isaac was not going to stand to drink his coffee. She's all soft and sweet, and Isaac is the opposite, all rough edges and blunt words. But, opposites do attract and different people are sometimes perfect combinations, and in the span of an hour they are laughing like old friends and swapping numbers.
It's a slow thing, with Allison and Isaac, but after six months of talking and Allison stopping by for a quick visit (with a new guy by her side, but we'll get to that), she asks him to come with her. And he responds with a certain, definite 'yes'.

Scott McCall is just a wanderer. He used to be a mechanic at his best friend's garage, but after falling out with said friend, he fled, finding himself staying with his friends Kira and Malia halfway across the state. But it still doesn't feel like home, even if he can drive around the field's aimlessly on his motorcycle and play lacrosse all he wants.
He was planning on leaving again when he met Allison. They may have both had one too many beers at the local bar and ended up making out on top of one of the cars Scott was repairing just a couple of hours after they had met. It's not something Scott tends to ever do, so when he wakes up cuddled next to a pretty blue-haired girl, he's shocked.
Scott and Allison are quick to fall. After many, many, many apologies from both sides, Scott offers to take her to dinner as another apology. and Allison accepts. a couple of weeks later, they are travelling together.

Scott and Isaac collide. Literally. The moment they meet, they accidentally walk into each other and are quickly introduced. They don't fight or argue, but they aren't overly kind to each other either. Isaac isn't good with new people (other than Allison) and Scott's just a little bit socially awkward.
They grow to like each other, though. It's slow but steady, and it's definitely there. And, after a while, they grow closer and it is no longer unwanted silence, it is warm laughter that fills the air.
And, somehow, what the two feel for Allison, they begin to feel for each other.
-
The three aren't sure exactly what they are. They've known each other for so little time but are attached by the hip, so closely entwined together that it's too late for them to stop what is happening between them.
They've kissed each other a few times, held each other more than just a few, but they haven't gotten a label for it yet. And maybe they don't need to. They are simply happy, travelling in an old camper van and having fun.
And being happy and being together is all that matters.
