writing characters in domestic situations is generally awful. yes, i know it's for comfort. yes, i know you don't have to make anything interesting. yes, i know it requires some skill to it. but it's not about that. it's about the fact it causes more harm than good. it's the fact everyone expects everyone to fit in this picture-perfect white surburban picket fence lifestyle and unanimously be happy in it. must have romance in your life, not allowed to have sex nor love without romance, must settle down and have kids and bleh bleh DOESN'T IT GET BORING??? don't you feel restrained in thr worst way possible??? it doesn't have to be this way!!! PLEASE for the love of god write less typical domestic fluff and more weirdly arranged domestic fluff, BARE MINIMUM. two friends co-parenting a child without any romance or even qpr involved. someone going bowling platonically with their new friend-with-benefits of the week. multiple people cohabiting without it being a polycule nor found family. *ANYTHING*
