i love that type of character pair, ESPECIALLY because i love subverting it in the way that they characters are way more alike than they like to admit and their dyxnamic changes and grows with their growing understanding of eachother and the world around them. the hit-hard edgelord has a soft side to him and the big smiley happy guy actually is super serious and the reason he's so obnixiously happy all the time is just a distraction from his horrors

then there is arch and jessee. unstoppable force meets imoveable object.

i'm kinda focused on that one rn bc of the stuff im writing having a huge focus on the two. they both are stubborn mules and its fun to make them clash. we hardly reached the part where they actually interact in the story at all but heyyyyyyyyy something to look forward to. the premise of guy fromt he past interacting with guy from the future is also just neat. i love weird bullshit.

luzifer and angel are interesting in that sense of their dynamic is sooo fucked up its just fun to think about all the ways they are horrible and bad for eachother.

the same goes for most dynamics with luzifer, because angel was his first relationship with any human at all ever and so it sets him up for a really weird expectation on how connection to other humans is formed and how it should feel. especially his relationship to his son suffers from that a lot; and then there's that whole deal with arch.,..

honestly everyone who has a dynamic with alpha itself also has an interesting dynamic.

that is mostly due to me feeling very very hard about the child experiment character. the dehumanization of children because they are toys for adults to use. the adults in its life all use that same toy so differently. but a toy can't stop being a toy, because that's just what toys are. even if they keep saying that it isn't true.

dominic and jessee also have something going on that i want to explore more but for that i need to write more about themmmmmm
