My mother is winning the holiday party game this year and has sent out both physical and PDF versions of her invitation to her Christmas party 2 months early. She's tired of other people stealing the available weekends to host to Christmas party. No one gets to say "oh I'm sorry, I can't come to your Christmas party. I have other obligations that evening".
I passed an invitation onto a friend and she asked if that this would be a formal party. 2 months advanced notice is the kind of party that would be a formal party. That's a normal assumption.
This is jeans and T-shirt party. Dress code is ugly Christmas sweater and fun socks.
Mom just has a vendetta against scheduling conflicts
