 “Hmm.” With a bored tone, Anri looked at the ceiling of the Kotomine church’s chapel, waiting for his junior to come out so they could chat just to kill time. It wasn’t rare for him to visit the young man every now and then, surprisingly enough, Anri and Shirou got along well.

“Oi, Shirou.” He addressed the young man as he came out to meet him, his gaze looking at the statue right above the organ of the chapel with deep interest before breaking eye contact with it.

      A gentle confusion falls over the puppet-hero’s eyes when she catches sight of the other – something instinctively telling her that this was someone important. Though it didn’t click what it meant, or even who it was, it was rare for her to have these momentary flickers of emotion.

      “Excuse me?”

      Before she even realized it, the karakuri woman was approaching the other. He was a SERVANT, that was something she was (almost) sure of, however? With as many malfunctions with her natural abilities this place had caused – she wasn’t entirely sure which class or even who it was. Likely, she’d never met him before. At least as far as she was aware. “You appear to be a Servant. Is that correct?”

Halloween is totally more of Gedomaru’s thing, but there are some perks to this whole nonsense with pumpkins and vampires and zombies (just don’t ever say ghost).

Like the bounty of sugar that line the shelves.

Or rather, it would be a bounty, but apparently someone wasn’t on top of stock, because there was all of one pack of candy corn left. Gintoki eyes the pack from a distance and walks towards it with purpose, like a man on a mission.

But the stars are not aligned today, because just as he gets to the shelf and reaches out for it, someone beats him to it.

And hey, he recognises this guy.

Fingers dragged across dusty pews, leaving marks of their trespasser. About halfway down the nave, she coughed, not really used to this much dust. She looked at the stained glass. Its imagery different than what she was used to in the ones she stayed in prior--even with glass knocked out of a few windows it still cast the nave in colorful light. 

Interesting how all the decay didn’t manage to take the light. There was probably a holy allegory to be had here but she scowled and rolled her eyes thinking about it.

She eventually got to the chancel, leaning before it as she did so long ago to see if she’d be able to go back, finally. Panty didn’t clasp hands, though; she just sighed, placing her hands on her thighs and looking down for a long while.

“Hey mom,” she let out, finally exasperated. “what the fuck?”

She stayed there for a bit, not sure what else to add.....what was she waiting for? A lightning strike, a cryptic note? Why was she even bothering; was she that used to routine?

Frustrated, Panty stayed, too absorbed in her own thoughts to notice if she had company or not.

CLAWS PUNCTURED CONCRETE, created cracks that doomed the cross that stood as part of this angel’s statue to give in under their might and its rubble plummeted to his feet. He locked eyes with the onlooker, an eternity of hatred for the very same symbol he came destroy found in them upon noticing it hanging around this “cleric”’s neck as well.   

        “IT OFFENDED ME.”

( The Prince of Darkness excused himself with a mocking smile. ) He drifted across the church grounds closer to this entity bleeding magic energy. He’s felt it so many times before now, few of their kind seemed to be able to hide their presence at all.

       “...Is anyone here?”

    The servant enters the church slowly, door creaking as he opens it enough for him to slip on in. How long has it been since he passed by the church? Months perhaps? It wasn’t like he had any business nor need to come to the holy place, any sins he had were far too late to repent. “I’m looking for Rider, Saint Martha I believe?” In his arms he holds a circular device, one that they called Roomba-san. A servant being asked to fix  this silly device was certainly unusual, but, this city had proven many things to him.
