The Mayan script in the background spells 'ZombieCleo' (za-m-be-ka-le-yo). This was one of my earlier works in my creation period, so I actually had a ton of fun learning more about how to outline fat characters! I really hope that's understandable even with the style. Also I can never resist giving a character a halo it's my fatal art flaw fr lmao

Baroque is a classic style that adheres to realism. It depicts a single moment, full of movement, often on a dark background. Subjects are created on diagonals, and the pieces are overall quite dynamic. They tend to draw the viewer in, making them part of the scene, often by making the viewer the third in a triangle of figures or by including an element that almost goes off the canvas.

You may be wondering, Sparrow, why in the world did you choose the green guy for an art movement that doesn't have green??? And, well, that's a great question! I was only familiar with the product creation side of Bauhaus when I made my list of Hermit-movement pairs, and by the time I was going to make this piece, there was nothing I could switch around that would make sense. Aside from the colour, Bdubs works similarly to Bauhaus—that is, he blends aesthetic with usefulness. I also admire his constant push to improve his art, which reminds me of a school... okay anything more than that is pushing it. (I also wasn't sure how to best write up the alt id so if anyone has suggestions to make it clearer, please lmk!)

De Stijl is a style that uses primary colours and non-colours (that is, black, white, and grey) with many interecting lines. When discussing the most famous de Stijl piece, Red and Blue Chair by Gerrit Rietveld, the creator explained of its creation that it wasn't about creating a chair that would bring bodily comfort, but creating something as his mind-self would design it. Now, that seems a little silly to me, designing a chair for an ideal version of yourself instead of you as you are, but luckily I'm not designing a chair. I'm just doing a bit of art in this style because the primary colours fit ITS perfectly lol

Psychedelic art is exactly what it sounds like, and you've probably seen it before. It features repetitive patterns and rotational symmetry, often including vibrant colours. This pattern was inspired by Grian's goal for his starter base to collect every flower in the game.

Yet another movement that's far more prominent in architecture than traditional art. It's a somewhat minimalist movement. Buildings are almost exclusively build with cement facades and sharp, brutal angles. What minimal traditional art I could find that claimed to be made in a brutalist style used black and white, and were mostly posters for concerts or art shows. So this is my best approximation, with a couple colours because I couldn't resist Impulse's aesthetic. The image is pulled directly from the show Silo.
