I will say, to me, it's just... kind of funny when someone tries to fakeclaim me now? It used to bother me more when I was younger, hadn't been in therapy and working on managing symptoms for as long, but not really anymore. Now it just kind of shows me that someone is making a lot of false presumptions about me and my life, and that's amusing to me.
Like, I've been openly a system for about 6 years, diagnosed for about 5 (if I'm doing my math correctly lol). Through that time I've spoken quite a bit about my experiences being a system, the work I've done in therapy to manage my disordered symptoms, and faced a lot of challenges with things like amnesia and internal conflict, both in public and more private spaces. And, multiple times, I've outright shared parts of my records showing my diagnosis.
That is a hell of a lot of time and effort to spend faking being a system.
And my life outside of that hasn't exactly been a walk in the park either, between a multitude of personal issues I've dealt with over the years that, at many times, has made it extremely difficult to motivate myself to do even things I needed to do, let alone anything else.
So the idea that I even have had the time and energy to consistently fake being a system for that long is just... laughable to me, knowing what I know about my own life.
