Happy belated 83rd birthday, Bugs Bunny!
Credit goes to @outouni for doing this commission of Kirlia dressed as prima ballerina Bugs Bunny from the Tales from the Vienna Woods segment of A Corny Concerto on January 20, 2023.
Someone just asked me if Vaporeon was my favorite Fairy-type Pokemon and I'm like 99% sure they were trying to make fun of me so I just kind of went "Vaporeon is a Water-type...?" and yeah
Anyways now I'm trying to decide on my favorite Fairy-type
FINAL ROUND, BATTLE FOR THE CROWN: DRAGON VS. FAIRY!!
The deciding match, the battle for first! Which of these Types will claim eternal glory at the top of the podium, and which will have to settle for second place? Both of these have yet to lose a match, but only one can win!! This the legendary final battle! And it's up to you to determine the result!
Who will claim ultimate victory?
Dragon
Fairy
With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet drawing near, I had gotten in the mood to design some Fakemon of my own. Here’s one of the concepts I made--with both normal and Shiny colorations--back in October:
Fauxlucha False Face Pokemon
Fairy/Dark
Said to be a once-noble spirit that became earthbound as a consequence of its disastrous, yet well-intentioned, attempts to intervene with the affairs of humans and Pokemon. Now an agent of darkness, Fauxlucha seek to bring others to ruination, even adapting a twisted facsimile of Hawlucha's charismatic persona to help with its deception. Rarely, one may find a Fauxlucha that seemingly seeks to redeem itself, but this, too, could be part of its con.
HP: 61 / Atk: 117 / Def: 62 / SpAtk: 97 / SpDef: 63 / Speed: 100
Possible Abilities: Serene Grace / Moody / Contrary
Signature Move: Two-Face Splash
Fairy/Physical/85 BP/10-16 PP/Acc: 95%
The user attacks the target while falling from the heavens. This move can be Fairy and/or Dark Type, whichever will be more effective.

Albinie - Tiny Owl Pokemon - Fairy
It loves to stare at anyone it sees, rotating its head in any direction to maintain eye contact, most people are unnerved by its otherworldly eyes. Its calls sound like a crying baby.
togetic?
Togetic!!!
I…..hm. Yeah, Togetic. Togetic has the honour of being the evolution of Togepi, which is worth mentioning because Togepi got marketed HARD back during the transition from Gen I to Gen II and then throughout the remainder of the gen. Togepi was a representative of the newly-introduced category of pokemon: Baby Pokemon. Basically species that are freshly hatched from eggs that learn few moves and are unable to breed until they evolve. And Togepi’s great! But Togetic….really kinda just existed so that Togepi actually had something to evolve into.
Which isn’t to say Togetic is a bad pokemon or anything, it just feels very much like an afterthought to Togepi. Usually a pokemon’s final forms and first forms are somewhat balanced in popularity through one being cuter and the other being cooler and more useable in-game, but Togetic isn’t even particularly cool or useable in-game regardless so Togepi kinda just outshines it in every respect possible. Then Togekiss would later be introduced in Gen IV, giving Togetic the role of forgettable middle evo, which actually feels much more appropriate for it and is easier to appreciate it as.
But yeah uh. It used to be Normal/Flying-type, one of the most common and bland combos, before Gen VI’s introduction of Fairies bestowed it with the lovely Fairy/Flying-type. That helps a lot with determining what it even is, since it’s a fairy! And it can apparently scatter like, happiness dust? Seems like a fairy-y thing to do. Even with that extra fairy flavour, though….it’s still a bit boring.
Shiny situation isn’t stellar either, just being an offer-white and swapping the reds and blues. In some portrayals (like the modern Sugimori art above) this white’s already used on the base form anyway! Hhhh.
Togetic is a pokemon that’s hard to get excited about, but I mean, at least it’s still pretty cute?? It’s good that Togekiss came along because this is a case where the evo line really needed something to complete it; Togetic just doesn’t have enough oomph to end on. Sorry Togetic :(
Throws Shiny Stone/10.
