Japan’s Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami warning of us to 3 feet in islands in Japan’s far south, after a strong earthquake of 6.6 magnitude hit eastern Taiwan Monday. The epicentre of the quake was near Yonaguni Island, near Taiwan. According to the national broadcaster NHK, there was no visible damage in Taipei Taiwan’s capital. 

The Rupee logged the biggest fall of 2015, after plunging 55 paisa against the dollar, on Monday. It closed at a one-month low of 62.91 against the greenback, amid a sustained demand by importers for the latter. Also, the BSE Sensex ended at a 3-week low of 27,886.21 after plummeting 555.89 points.
