Alliance Of Necessity/ Page
-(Male Reader)-
Semi-Platonic??
Look who didn't disappear for months between posting for once 😙✌️
=============
The urge to interrupt him before he had finished was overwhelming.
Page had to physically clench her jaw as Walter waltzed in with the Prince, the younger brother of the person her and her people were actively fighting against, close in tow.
'So much for a secret base' Page bit back a bitter chuckle as she looked the Prince over one more time.
Average. That was all Page could think when she looked at him. She could acknowledge that the cleanliness and the somewhat regalness the Prince exhibited made him far more attractive than the majority of Albion, but as a whole he wasn't anything too special.
Not special enough to risk her and her men's lives for. Not yet anyway, not intill he proved himself. Not intill he showed her and the people of Bowerstone Industrial that he was different to his brother and not just another tyrant trying to do worse to the already suffering people.
Page wasn't sure if she believed what Walter was saying about the Prince being a hero but then again she didn't actually care. Hero or not she wasn't going to stupidly follow this man around Albion.
Page was a leader not a lap dog. Especially not a royal lap dog.
Refusing to entertain this conversation much longer without proof, Page kept it extremely short and brief.
Go help around Bowerstone, show her his heart was in the right place and Page would consider allowing him to accompany her.
She didn't hold much faith, even with Walter's encouragement.
So she continued planning on how she was going to rescue Kidd, her right hand man and the rest of her men trapped inside that snake Reaver's Manor.
Which she could admit, was no easy feat.
Page’s plan for infiltrating Reaver’s manor was barely coming together, and already the cracks in her confidence were starting to show. The man was a snake, as slippery as he was cruel, and his estate was a fortress of decadence and danger. Even if they managed to get in, there was no guarantee they’d get out alive.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sharp clatter of boots on stone. She looked up to see the Prince entering the room, his expression guarded but determined. His clothes were noticeably dirtier than before, and there was a faint smear of grime across his cheek.
“What are you doing here?” she asked sharply, glancing at the others in the room as if expecting Walter to appear with his usual charm-laced excuses. But the Prince was alone.
“I did what you asked,” he said simply.
Page leaned back against the table, folding her arms. “Did you? And what did you learn?”
The Prince hesitated, then stepped closer, lowering his voice. “I learned that the people of Bowerstone Industrial don’t need speeches or promises. They need someone willing to fight for them—someone willing to fight with them.”
Page’s brow arched, skepticism still etched into her features. “A couple of hours in the filth and you think you understand what my people need?”
“No,” he admitted, meeting her gaze. “But I’m trying to. And I’m willing to do whatever it takes to prove I’m not my brother.”
For a moment, the room was silent, the tension thick between them. Then Page pushed off the table and gestured to the map spread out across it. “If you’re serious, you’ll start here.”
The Prince stepped closer, his eyes scanning the map. Page pointed to a section marked with bold red lines. “Reaver’s manor is our target. He’s the reason these people are drowning in poverty and pollution, that the children of this city suffer more and more, and if we’re going to change anything, we have to cut him off at the source.”
“And you want me to help you?”
She smirked, though there was little humor in it. “Help? No. I want you to lead. If you’re going to be a part of this, you need to show these people you’re willing to stand on the front lines with them.”
The Prince nodded, his jaw tightening as he studied the map. “What’s the plan?”
“We infiltrate during one of his parties,” Page said, her tone all business now. “Reaver loves a good spectacle, and he’s less likely to notice a few uninvited guests in the chaos. But it’s not just about getting in—it’s about getting rid of Reaver for good. Something we can use to turn the tide against your brother.”
The Prince straightened, his gaze steady. “Then we’d better get ready.”
Page watched him for a moment longer, still unsure if she could trust him. But for the first time, she saw a flicker of potential in his resolve—something that might be worth risking.
“Don’t make me regret this,” she said, her voice low. “Because if you do, you’ll answer to me.”
The Prince nodded again, and for the first time, Page thought that maybe—just maybe—he might prove to be more than average after all.

Throwing a crumb to the Fable fandom, if there's anyone left in it 🥴
I'm going to try and post some more before college starts up again and my motivation goes out the window. I have a Vampyr fic coming out eventually and I'm trying to finish some headcanons for Zussman.
Hope this was decent!
Do your courtiers bite?
Worse. They judge you.
I just like the idea of them being friends against both their wills cuz they're the only members of the court with any worldly experience or common sense
My art tablet is still broken so im being forced to doodle nonsense on my phone with my finger like a simpleton

favorite fable protagonist??
Hm…excluding the player characters, I think it might be a toss up between Hammer and Page (I’m not counting Reaver as a protagonist).
Hammer has a huge sisterly aura, and she obviously loves the Hero of Bowerstone. She also is similar to the player character in the sense that tragedy forces her hand into becoming a Hero to stop Lucien - honestly, fuck Theresa - and I think in that way she is a really easy character to empathise with. All that being said, the way she leaved after you defeat Lucien makes me irrationally angry; it really feels like a betrayal to Sparrow, for all Hammer never lifts a hand against them.
Page, on the other hand, does not have the same warm vibes as Hammer has. What she has is competence and style, and I think she’s a really inspirational character, standing up for what she believes in. The way she takes her leave in the game is also a lot less jarring.
So…both. Both Hammer and Page are my favourite Fable protagonists.
do you have any favourite characters in the games?? or favourite places??
Im honestly just being nosey-
also, love your blog!! :)
Thank you!!!
I have many opinions about both characters and places in Fable, so I’m sorry if I over-share 😂
My favourite character is Reaver, probably somewhat obviously (dickhead I want to strangle, but also like…bestie?), but I also love Page because she just cool? Like, awesome leader of a rebellion who fights for what she thinks is right, takes no shit from anyone for any reason (sorry Ben), and keeps her own wanted poster in her room? We stan 🤩
As for places: I love Bower Lake in Fable II. It just gives me peaceful vibes, and I genuinely find the music really relaxing? It’s a really nice place in game. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Wraithmarsh is such a cool concept because the place is so evil it will try to do damage to you if you just stand still? So cool. Also, the drowned and dead aesthetic of Wraithmarsh really appeals to me. Honourable mention to the City of Aurora; it gives me big mystical land from a children’s story vibes, and I do like that.
Have you got any Fable Favourites?
The Fable III Circle.
Every day, I contemplate who I want to fuck more, Ben Finn or Page. As a non-binary bisexual person with two very attractive people to pick from, I can never really come to an ultimate conclusion.
Then I start to cry because I remembered I can’t fuck either of them anyway because they aren’t romanceable characters and I wasted three hours of my existence.
