          “Merlin... I’m very, very bored. Isn’t there something fun to do around here? Do you want find something entertaining to do? Cause some trouble. What’s the point of school if you don’t have a bit of fun?” 

Against her better judgment, she took a sip of something that should have only been orange juice. “I swear to you, if this is spiked with anything, I’ll have your head!” She’d hissed at the server who looked at her in fear and told her it was really just orange juice. Satisfied, she drank it quickly. She should have known something was off when she smelled hints of hot chocolate, her family’s garden and steaming English Breakfast tea. Her observational abilities must have slipped because she did not think twice about it, downing the drink before she could stop herself. 

Turning around, she stopped just before plowing into a tall figure. “You almost-” She was preparing to say that the stranger had nearly messed up her perfectly styled hair, but as soon as she laid eyes on the beautiful man standing before her. “Oh my,” she whispered breathlessly. “Fabian - has anyone ever told you how... positively breathtaking you are?” 

NAME: fabian. sometimes referred to as fae by the hive. may also go by the name beatrice elwood if any legal identification is required.

AGE: twenties to thirties, usually defaults to twenty-nine. younger/older verses available with plotting.

SPECIES: human/mutant.

GENDER: something something nonbinary, somewhat genderfluid-ish something something. doesn't matter right now. she/they pronouns used interchangeably.

ORIENTATION: demisexual, no gender preference but requires an significant amount of trust and understanding before considering anyone romantically or sexually.

HOMETOWN: a small nondescript town located in caddo parish, louisiana, somewhere close to the texas border.

HEIGHT: 5'7".

HAIR: dark brown, almost pitch black. typically cut into a fuckass bob.

EYES: cerulean blue in their default state; glows violet when using their powers.

VOICE: mild-mannered, soft-spoken. calming, almost hypnotic.

SCENTS: mint, rosemary, mulberry, cedarwood, aldehyde. trace amounts of rubbing alcohol.

ABILITIES.

merging. bea can split her body into two separate beings, fabian and iris. only when fabian and iris merge their bodies together again does bea return to her physical form, prompting fabian and iris to revert back to incorporeal forms. due to this ability, bea is never physically in the same room with fabian or iris, but remains present through their shared consciousness.

telepathic hive mind. psychically linked to both bea and iris, allowing them to share thoughts and be affected by each other's physical and mental states. fabian is considered "the left hand" of the hive mind, being the most logical and practical of the three personalities. the hive's telepathic abilities are limited to their connections with each other — while they can read each other's thoughts and emotions, this does not extend onto others.

intangibility. allows her to phase through solid organic matter, including bodies. this ability can also make fabian invulnerable to physical attacks, as weapons will phase through her body without damage.

disease manipulation. fabian can release pathogens that induce illness in others, with both fatal and non-fatal symptoms. the diseases created will react differently to every subject, targeting each individual's physical weakness. she alone can also create the cures and treatments for each disease, but their healing abilities are limited only to diseases she has created herself.

blood manipulation. able to control and manipulate blood in the bodies of others, both living and deceased. they can potentially speed up a healing process by inducing clotting to prevent blood loss, or in a reverse effect, cause veins to break and induce aneuryms.

PERSONALITY.

often considered "the face" of the hive, being the most presentable in terms of personality. (bea is too unpredictable, iris is too likely to attack unprovoked.) with the potentially fatal repercussions of her abilities, fabian has learned to contain much of her powers in order to blend in to society. although bea is the only one with a legal name and identity, fabian is the only one to have ever utilized formal documents under the name beatrice elwood.

although fabian is capable of being polite and respectable, they also have the tendency to be withdrawn and slow to open up to others. having such a vital connection to the hive, they aren't as able to replicate the same sort of connections to others, and will often seem very serious and quiet. outside of the hive, her closest relationship is with their godfather, dr. elwood, often acting as an assistant in his work.

extremely protective of the hive, especially due to iris' distaste for society and bea's lack of awareness. despite the fact that they all maintain that they are not technically siblings, fabian often behaves like the older sibling of the trio. she is quick to steer the others away from potential danger or threats, and does not take so kindly to those they perceive as "intruders".

while there was never an official diagnosis for the disease that killed the hive's biological parents, fabian has long suspected that her abilities were the primary cause, as she did not yet possess a physical body or control of her powers. this belief has caused them to be very wary other using their abilities for anything other than experimental and academic purposes under dr. elwood's supervision.

TRIVIA.

vegan, not for health or environmental reasons, but more so because she finds the tastes and textures of meat and dairy off-putting.

fabian has only ever been on one official date in their life during their teenage years. it wasn't really motivated by any interest in the other person, but more so just to understand the experience. the night ended with their date driving them back to the lake house, only to be met with iris, who had already dug up a grave plot for their body — there was no second date or phone call after this, but fabian was not particularly bothered.
