FOR SERIOUUUSSS I appreciate them making Johnny quick witted and actually smart enough to solve a puzzle, I thought it was awesome characterization considering his side or solo adventures in the comics, but god. You cannot be serious he solved a language puzzle. Why would that language be solvable in that way. Why would he then be able to figure out how to speak it fluently. That's not how languages work, much less one's completely alien to earth. Give me a click consonant or die 💥 GET 💥 FUCKED 💥

He picks up other people’s accents/cadence of speaking easily. This mirroring is what helps him learn languages quickly.

When he’s really needing to infodump about the latest thing he’s immersed himself in he’ll talk to Herbie - Ben also lets him ramble sometimes.

If it’s a subject Reed is also interested in, they will sometimes end up bouncing ideas off of each other, though it often ends once their shared interest does.

He’s bad about taking care of himself when he’s caught up in the whirl of chasing an interest. Herbie brings him meals, snacks, water, makes sure he hits the shower and gets sleep (its a specific part of his programming that Reed put in because Johnny listens to Herbie more than any of them)

He still visits his mom’s grave yearly. It bothers him more than he lets on that he can’t remember as much about her as Sue does.

Being underestimated is something he’s grown used to. It used to rile him up a lot more, now he uses it to his advantage. People will reveal a lot when they think they’re talking to someone who can’t understand/isn’t listening.

Same with his looks, he’s learned to utilize those as well. A pretty face and a kind smile will win a lot of trust. Johnny doesn’t necessarily enjoy being the “pretty boy” of the group, but he understands the necessity of it.

Contrary to people’s perception of him, he’s never slept with anyone. The furthest he’ll go, intimacy-wise, is kissing. The few girls (and guys) Sue has caught leaving his room never get close to actually sleeping with him. He likes the comfort of having people close, but despises the discomfort that anything remotely sexual makes him feel.

He also lets the team/general public believe he gets around more than he does because it’s easier than having to explain why he doesn’t sleep with anyone.

While most people assume his response to tense/highly emotional situations would be highly reactive, it is often the opposite. He tends to freeze, or shut down - i.e. in the face of Sue’s death. It is very easy for him to become the little boy who was stuck watching his father trying to revive his mom’s lifeless body, feeling completely useless and utterly overwhelmed.

Sue knows this, which is why when she sees him slipping into this headspace she tries to get the others to give him space to process.
