something something the eye in the dark that Jack says has opened is the eye in Well World that you can see high above where you get back to the Remnant, and the reason the Remnant was the key to the Fellowship's ascension is because the Wave is connected to the Well in some way
"the wave revealed itself to me and swept me into itself" why was it only revealed when the Remnant was around. and in the Wave he saw the eye, wrapping back to my first point.
Visually, the board line up at the Garage-Ritual-Altar reminds me of the Well's tendrils and there IS blue inside Well World which could connect some things to it in terms of color.
If Jack was swept in at the end of the ritual, everything did turn red which is connected to the Well.
Sorry if i sound absolutely bonkers right now, but for this to make sense I need to explain my bigger Well theory. I think the Anchors, Colossal Cappy [especially her], the Anomaly at the start of the game, and a few other things are directly tied to the Well. [I have more on the Anomaly at the start of the Well that is absolutely a stretch theory but LISTEN. LISTEN.]
In fact, I think the only reason LIM exists is because of the Well. All of what is created from LIM is, in some way, tied back to the Well. Which is why when the Remnant made close contact with what is arguably the second most powerful anomaly in the Zone [next to the Well itself], Colossal Cappy, it very briefly opened the way into Well World where we could hear Allen.
We see the black-tar shit around Cappy, as well as the Abductors and a few other things, but we ALSO see it when you disconnect the Remnant in the final Ritual.

I found this really good mechanic on YouTube, and their tutorials are amazing, no shade. But sometimes they'll say "it'd be best to use your olympium plasma smolder for this one" brother who OWNS those. I am poor
@ghostmisfits @creature-in-the-attic HEY IM FREAKING OUT.
doing my monthly watch of Pacific Drive's ps5 release date trailer, when I notice a GODDAMN DATE
Either December 10th, 1998 or October 12th, 1998.
It IS the old setup before it got reworked, but this date isn't very far away from the game's launch [November 23rd, 2023 - Feb 23rd, 2024] so it could be credible, especially with how a record explains the OEZ isn't affected by seasonal/winter weather
I love how day 6 Scraps has a look of fear in their eyes like no other,
Also love how they look like they have a mechanics jumpsuit on,
OoooOOOOOUUUGHHHHHMTHE THEM THE SILLIE. GNAWING ON THWM RN. TOSSING THEM AROUND N SHAKING THEM.
That is the day after Stabilizing a Way through when they were in the Storm for a fuckload amount of time. And the first time their eyes changed. they are FREAKED.

@ghostmisfits sent in an ask months ago about radio songs and their connections to Pacific Drive. I saved it to my drafts and Tumblr fuckin ate it. So this is the response without the ask itself
I have said it before and I'll say it again; I am of the firm belief the Radio Soundtracks are Ironwoods "blorbo playlist" equivalent, so to say.
I'll be going over every song. I will eventually go over Volume 2+3, link will be in the replies as they go up.
Warning; I mention suicide at the end of the 1964 rant.
VOLUME 1 - WITH DEMO/GAME RELEASE FEB. 2024
- Will be approaching with only the main story in mind.
Track 1 - Ghost on the Road
I believe this song holds lots of importance given it's the only song the Driver listens to at a canon place and time, especially at such an important part of the game - when they are first driving up to the Barrier Wall.
The first thing this song reminds me of is that before the Trio discovered there may be a way to unlink the Remnant and it's victim, the Driver was certainly doomed. Didn't matter they showed up on the Trio's devices, didn't matter they were making change to the Zone, didn't matter the Player was the Driver - they were dead. A living ghost.
The 'ghost on the road' statement could be pulled into multiple different aspects of the Remnant and Driver as well. How it is possibly implied the Driver can come back from the dead. How you can find the rusted Remnant in the Zone after you fail a run. The different timelines of outcomes where the Remnant and Driver never made it back.
I feel like more can be said about the lyrics could mean when applied to the game. The only thing that popped in my head is the final section; "You might have to hang behind these lives on the highway / these dead eyes on the highway" how so many people before the Driver has gone down this same road of Remnant obsession, looking for the Well even though they had no idea what it was, and disappeared. Died. Never came back.
Track 2 - Puzzle Pieces
I think of Tobias and Francis when I listen to this. How Tobias lifted up Francis, made him confident and believe in himself. That "anything was possible."
I think it's interesting this is the track after Ghost on the Road, given Francis and Tobias are the second and third characters the Driver meets [counting the Remnant as the first.]
If you're one that theorizes/headcanons a closer releationship between the Driver and Remnant, it could that. The Remnant, or maybe the whole Zone, telling the Driver it can pick up the broken pieces of their lifr since they were rocketed into the Zone. Sort them into something new if they stayed. Maybe it's even malicious!
Track 3 - Los Angeles
I don't listen to this one often, nor does it have any lyrics, so I don't have much to say on it. It does remind me of a driving transition scene from a 80s-90s comedy lmao. Maybe that's the connection.
Track 4 - Swansea
This reminds me of 'the Driver stays in the Zone' player choice, with "letting go of the line" being their goal to get out of the OEZ, and the 'Swansea' being the Exclusion Zone. With the 'you' the narrator wants to be with is the Remnant.
I also see a lot of Oppy in this song, with realizing she had to leave the OEZ.
Track 5 - Holy Mystery
This very much applies to the Trio's scrabbling in the first half of the game. Oppy's strict ordering, Francis refusal to work with her, everyone's actions towards each other and how it is making them pull away from their primary goal; saving the Driver.
Perhaps the "holy mystery" coming over the narrator is the Remnant obsession taking hold of the Driver. Or the Remnant-Mass Hallucination mystery, and the narrator is Tobias.
"Whispering the truth is hidden right in the cracks of the walls" could totally be applied to the Mass Hallucination's source - the Well - being behind the Expansion Wall, then Old Wall. Maybe the "change in the wind" is the Well being the key, how the discovery of the Well changing everything we may know about the makeup of the Olympic Peninsula since LIM tech.
Track 6 - Forty Fives Say Six Six Six
Nothing is really coming to me with this song. It does remind me about the unsettling, creepy parts of the Zone. Maybe you have something better than me on this song.
Track 7 - 1964
This song DRIVES ME INSANE buckle your seats and hold onto your motherfuckin milkers.
First off, 1964 is the year Tobias states that Wild Remnants began appearing in the Zone, and thus maybe the Station Wagon as well, depending on the theory. Either way, this year is detrimental to the story.
Going into the lyrics, you can apply just about everything to the Driver. With the narrator being the Driver, and the thing they are directing to the Remnant
"What it feels like to leave you behind, I'll never know." The Driver cannot leave the Remnant behind, either for their own survival and getting out/around the Zone, or the obsession.
The narrator wonders about disappearing, something that early-story Driver is doomed to do. Like the Remnant Victims before them, they too will disappear into the Zone. Maybe die. Maybe go someplace else.
"What is like to be stuck in this place, I'll never know / With the need to break out, to wanna pack up and go" the Driver determination to leave the Zone, to get back over that Barrier Wall.
"To keep pretending with your head down and mouth shut" the Driver has no canonical input. They just have to keep going, they have to do exactly what the Trio says to get out. If they falter, if they try to change the plan, it may not work for they cannot communicate.
"Can you tell me what it feels to give up?" If the Driver tries giving up on getting farther and get out of the Zone, the Trio will urge them forward. If the Driver tries to live out their days and give up looking for the Well, the Remnant obsession will make them try. If the Driver tries to give up and dies or kills themself, they will come back.
Some other things is the song talks about the narrator being on the road, hands on the wheel. The narrator counting the days; the Driver is counting down the days to their sanity running out.
Track 8 - She Told Me Where to Go
God I love this song. Some parts of the song, and the title reminds me of how Remnants guide their victims to the Well, so they may return for whatever reason one may theorize about.
Or maybe also how the Trio is guiding the Driver, not just the Remnant.
Overall, I can't connect the rest of the song to the game much. Maybe "and I don't waste no effort on what don't mean much" could be applied to a Player's choice to keep the Driver focused on their main goal[s].
Track 9 - Conjuring Hell
"Fate's a stitch you can't unfasten" The Driver's doom and their desperation to try and survive.
"A stranger's voice heeds the call" Maybe the Trio working towards the Well with the Driver. Maybe the Driver giving into the guide to the Well, either because of the Remnant or the Trio's plans.
"Cursed by the spell" could be applied to the Remnant obsession.
The title itself could be applied to the Remnant-Well reaction.
Track 10 - Cadillac Dust
"Give it all you got, and then you're gone" reminds me of a lot of things. The Driver giving all they've got, then being told they're doomed after Colossal Cappy. The Driver giving all they've got, and then they'll be free. The Driver giving all they've got, and failure lingering over their every move, waiting to strike.
"Two souls are jumping out" Two people talked from the Well. Allen when the Remnant got close to Cappy's core, and Tobias when the Remnant is inside the Well.
Track 11 - Train Song
"Somebody stop this force on me" the Remnant obsession worming it's way into the Driver's brain, their want for help.
"I have a fear about the future" could be applied to the Driver, but when paired with "cause when you're building something new you never know what the cost will be" HEAVILY reminds me of Oppy and what LIM tech did to the Olympic Peninsula. The cost of lives, the cost of the land, the cost of a future family and her husband.
"But we'll just wait 'till it's too late" ARDA not trying to stop the spread of instability and the Zone; just walling it up. The fail of the Harmonic Branch.
"I'm making a life, but I'm also taking a home" The first step of LIM Oppy was proud of her work in LIM. The later steps of LIM destroying her home, the Peninsula.
"Can someone tell me what it means to live and forget and let love and let it go?" Oppy's arc in leaving the Olympic Peninsula behind and leaving, warming her exterior to Francis.
"The tracks will pull us down" LIM tech's fall and it's affects on ARDA employees and those who didn't leave the Zone.
"My aching soul is durable" Reminds me of Oppy's choice to stay to fix the instability issue since the 60's.
Track 12 - Doctor Juice
I cannot connect this lyrically to the game but the style and sound of this song is so fundamentally 'Old Dan's pit-stop' to me.
Track 13 - The Freeze
This entire song just reminds me of the Driver's bumps, bruises, and injuries. Their usage of old and forgotten things to make new and survive.
Track 14 - Bloodless
What immediately took me was the first lyric, ''must be strange not to see skin or bones.' Every anomaly the Driver encounters is either some type of goo, cloud, mist, or metal. They never see any people, only hear their voices, or read their text.
"Swallowed by the sound of angel wings" leaves a very vivid image of sound. Cappy, or the Well. Some other odd thing.
"I did not give up / I did not get drawn up / it was not my luck" gives the vibe of post-game Driver, after the End the Road. They persevered and won freedom.
Track 15 - The Castle
Maybe I just listen to this song too much racing to a Gateway, but it really reminds me of the monster of a Instability Storm. The angel chior the screaming of the storm, the devil looking maybe the centre of the Zone on the Driver snd Remnant, the "castle of the dead" maybe being Well World, holding the consciousnesses of people who have died. "Is it all inside my head?" wondering how much of it all is real.
Track 16 - Whispers of the Past
"Night beckons and calls" night in the OEZ always seems more alive.
"Whispers of the past / memories of yesteryears / the things that did not last / I recollect the tears" Maybe the life the Driver had before the Zone, the one they want to return to?
Track 17 - Disturbing the Quiet
I want to say something about this song but I can't find ANY lyrics anywhere, which is really tough for me.
The title, which appears in the song, reminds me of how the Driver kicks up instability everywhere they go.
"Calls of the wall ??? across the fields" The Well calling to the Remnant and its victim, calling them back.
"Porches abandoned, who's safer" is so just. Those small empty towns and settlements you drive through, stop to loot. Abandoned; evacuated, or something worse happened.
Track 18 - Bloodoath
Nothing is really coming to mind, maybe you got something
Track 19 - Save us Sarah
Maybe my brain isn't up to code today, but again nothing is really comin to mind. Kind of reminds me of Oppy. "Don't have to polite / to some kid who moved here last night" with the kid being the Driver freshly into the Zone. "Sarah's been here for a while / she's the city's forgotten child" Oppy has been here since before the Zone was established, before ARDA was.
If we're running with Oppy, "Save us Sarah" could be from the Driver, wanting help.
Track 20 - Liminal Drifter
Kind of the same with Los Angeles. This just brings some driving sequence to my brain.
Track 21 - Decay
Well, first off the intro of the song describes the Pacific Northwest, namesake and place Pacific Drive takes place. The intro also reminds me of the 'found footage' part of Pacific Drive's best trailer [COUGHS].
The first verse is really a retelling of ARDA coming to the Olympic Peninsula and taking LIM to experiment and develop it. "A great dream built up in their heads / what would they say if they could look into our time?" with what the Peninsula became. Same with "did they think this great, bright dream would last?"
The chorus kind of jumpscared me with how I usually describe hot dust in my fanfiction, LMAO. "Under rain that falls enternal" with how nothing is ever lost in the Zone.
"All hope of going back has passed" as the Zone and Instability is irreversable, and only spreading.
"To a beast undying we are lashed / the endless falling rain will always last" talking about the OEZ, or the Well?
Track 22 - Seven Trumpets
Starting off small, "this old chair it crumbles, like the paper on the walls" just reminds me of the chairs on porches of empty houses we find. Everlooking on.
"Call again weary reaper / this time I shall not run / as blood becomes the sun's beams it seems your work is nearly done" Is giving the view of a Driver, having cheated death so many times, giving up,
"As the final night falls on this town" reminds me of looking back, as a resident of Sierram, before the disaster. Or maybe the Driver looting an empty town, knowing the Instability is soon to eat it.
"For my fate is sweeter still than I ever could've known / here we are, the reaper and me / ready to bring on home / what hell have sown" Is the Driver's fate to collapse the Zone? Help further its spread? To find a home, or return to one? The reaper being the Remnant, and what the Well has fated and called for. Maybe a peek at the Remnant's influence on the Driver, or the Well's.
Track 23 - Night Shades
This entire song just feels like a descriptor for the Zone in all its lively. I can't really write a description, you just gotta listen to it and imagine the Zone.
The empty rainforests, the paths of fate, staring off at something you might have seen, or heard. The lives the Exclusion Zone has claimed, maybe still watching, listening. Maybe the whole land is listening.
Track 24 - Drawing Down the Moon
"Raise your chalice higher / push my blade in deeper" is giving a mindset where some of the things the Trio are having the Driver do is furthering their deadly obsession. Maybe the Driver to the Remnant.
GOD this song would really fit Whispers in the Woods, but I'm not trying to look at Volume 1 through that lense. I'll go over this in some other post.
I feel like I'm only grasping vague concepts of the OEZ's horror with this one.
Track 25 - Turn the Page
The Driver forgets their life before the Zone truthers sound off.
"So you only dwell upon all the times / when you had stumbled in your past? Have you ever found yourself / looking through a mirror that made of broken glass" The Driver's broken memory, their fading past, having to turn the page of their story to their new life in the Olympic Exclusion Zone.
"Everybody's eyes upon your soul" leaves a very vivid image of the Zone's eyes gazing on the Driver.
Track 26 - Knife
"You put your knife in me / you watched me bleed / my blood you wished the soil to feed" being the Driver and their fate with the Remnant obsession, their fate being to get the Remnant to the Well and allow a collapse.
I have some special art coming soon - will be a little late due to the complexity + seeing HTTYD preformed live on the 22nd - but I have some of my first screenshots from Feb 22nd, 2024; launch date!!
