How are we all doing?
Mr Meeseeks is looking worried towards the doughnut... and he had every right to be.
I fancied a doughnut today and got this exceedingly bright pink one titled 'Merry Berry'. It was not very merry or berry for me, unfortunately. There was even the surprise of jam in the ring. Not my cup of tea at all. Should have gone for the chocolate doughnut that I know I like.
What was funny was remembering that shops are now selling 'doughnut holes'. If you have seen them they are literally just dough in the shape of balls which resemble the shape of the doughnut hole.
Now I know there are some recipes and videos which show the doughnut having the small, circular centre cut out, which means you could create the doughnut holes naturally. There are now baking pans which you can buy, that have just the doughnut ring, eliminating this extra step.
What these doughnut holes do remind me off are the Eyeholes cereal from the Rick and Morty episode Interdimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate (S2:E8). I'm going to have to buy a bag and experiment!
Also, there is a recipe for the Eyeholes cereal in the Official Rick and Morty Cookbook, which I do have! Surprise, surprise! Haha, I still need to actually use it. Maybe this will be the recipe!
