Ignore the prices listed on the photos below. I didn’t spend that much money for these glasses. That’s just the cost before all the discounts.
I’ve been trying to buy these two pairs of glasses from eyebuydirect.com since the week of Cyber Monday. They had an incredible deal! I ordered a pair of regular prescription glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses. I paid less than $200 for both. I have really bad eyes so finding glasses online in my prescription is tough and usually outrageously expensive so this was a really good deal!
I ordered, paid, and waited for them to be shipped. I received them on December 14. But bad news: the prescription was wrong. It’s like they used the left eye prescription for the right lens and the right eye prescription for the left lens. Thankfully, eyebuydirect has a great and easy return/replacement policy.
I ordered replacements and decided on different frames. The new ones cost a little bit more than the first ones but I only had to pay the difference. I again had to wait for them to be shipped. This time it took longer (they were stuck at a USPS facility “pending acceptance” for almost a week. But I got them today, finally. And they’re wrong too!
Thinking I entered something wrong, I double and triple checked the prescription from my eye doctor and I entered everything correct. The problem is on the company’s end.
I used their support chat to get a new replacement. They offered a 15% discount so I’m getting some of my money refunded. The frames for the sunglasses is out of stock in the color I chose (black) so I had to get a different color and can switch out the lenses when I get the new pair, supposedly. I tried picking a new frame but the one I wanted was also out of stock.
I switched my saved prescription for each eye so hopefully this last two pairs will be right. If not I’m just going to get a refund and try somewhere else. I’m just tired of doing this, waiting on glasses that are wrong.
So fingers crossed that they get them right this time around. Third times a charm, right??
