Recently discovered what was inside these explosive barrels (≧▽≦)

Let's end this poor slime's misery.

Maybe it was a bit cruel....sorry, slime.

An interesting observation about barrels in Doom is how in the classics, they had green slime while the new ones are essentially gas/oil barrels or whatever.

Because it also means that classic Doom came before more people realized "nuclear energy" isn't glowy green stuff, but that sort of innacuracy from pop culture easily suits the nature of the series' setting.

Also, with Argent energy essentially being soul energy, i wonder about "sin" energy.

Hell having its powers just from the evil actions and wrongdoing that mankid has done over the years.

Maybe even mere emotions like fear or anger could power 100 demons at once.

A cool idea for Doom would be being able to pick up explosive barrels and throw them.

And there could be 2 ways:

One where the Doomguy just has to get close and use the interact/punch buttons to pick it up.

Another with the Meathook (Like how Halo Infinite lets you use the Grappleshot to pick up Fusion Coils).

And then you throw them Donkey Kong style or something.

People will think of Brutal Doom but another mod that has throwable barrels is GMOTA, which even has different physics/versions of how the barrels are thrown for each character.
