Lots of friction in trying to go back to Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil and it's frustrating because I really want to like it but I'm finding it quite tedious. And I keep being like "you've got to be fair, you've got to give it more of a shot" but I realize now I'm like 200 pages in and if the book still feels like it's really only just starting and it hasn't had a chance to hook me yet that's actually NOT on me lmao

Pleased to announce that Wayward Souls (the second Harker & Moriarty novel) is leagues better than Strange Beasts (despite having a slightly less cool cover). Huge win for Susan Morris. Incredible comeback
Audiobook is narrated by Emily Woo Zeller too, so Panam girlies who like the idea of Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes' daughter and Jonathan and Mina Harker's daughter having fraught hookups while battling their own personal demons should really consider looking into the series
