We joined a fancy gym!! 😁😎💪
So I'm working on a playlist for exercise class for the next two weeks at work-- part of my job involves teaching cardio / strength / balance to seniors. So I spent much of the time I wasn't needed for anything else at work in the last few days trying to figure out how many beats per minute "Feliz Navidad" is (149!), what songs were going to be the 10 minutes for warm-up ("Linus and Lucy," "Christmas in Hollis," and "Sleigh Ride"), etc.
And while part of the pleasure of this project is getting clients moving to music they already know and like, I've learned from my regular playlist that sometimes it's the pieces they haven't heard before that get them excited (looking at you, ET Mensah).
Anyway: this post is a thinly veiled excuse for me to enthuse about Natal Diferente by Arlindo Cruz and Sombrinha. Thank you to Google Translate for giving me this:
My Christmas doesn't need chestnuts, ham, French toast And between us, it doesn't need anything else For those who are into samba, everything is fine And if the meat runs out, there's no problem Someone in the family improvises A pea soup, grab more beer and enjoy Christmas My Christmas doesn't have dinner Nor wine, nor codfish For those who have samba in their veins that's normal
If "Christmas in Hollis" is all about how enjoying your mom's cooking is the whole point of the holiday, this is the counterpoint: ehhhh, it's just food, we're dancing.
Me in the middle of a workout: You know what? I do want to be a macho man.

This Rock is a New Exercise Playlist.
We could get pumped by the exact identical playlist— while we can not all be blessed with the disgusting genetics — or honestly, his awesomeness of all The Rock. He shared still yet another playlist annually to its release of W we 2K18, however, we are aware you can find just two things our readers can not get enough: bumpin’ work songs, along with The People’s Champ. Thus, like Dwayne Johnson’s…

I joined Spotify! I have been told over and over that I need to get on Spotify to find new music and share my workout playlists. Honestly, I never understood the hype. Until now… Spotify is great. I’m discovering new music and can listen to artists I know I love without having to actively search for a song on YouTube or purchase it on iTunes. So, this is a short post but I wanted to share with…
